People’s Liberation Party (PLP) leader Martha Karua has sent a condolence message to the family of the late businessman and politician Njenga Karume following the death of his son, Henry Waireri Karume.

Karua shared her message on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, expressing sympathy to the bereaved family, Henry’s friends and others who knew him.

In her tribute, Karua described Henry as an important figure in the family who helped safeguard its shared legacy.

“I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Karume family on the passing of Henry Waireri Karume, son of my friend, the late Njenga Karume,” she said.

Karua, who remembered Njenga Karume as her friend, said Henry’s death was a loss not only to his immediate family but also to those who depended on him to preserve their shared heritage.

“In Henry, the family has lost not only a beloved son and brother but also a trusted custodian of their shared legacy,” she stated.

She also extended her thoughts and prayers to Henry’s relatives and friends, urging them to find comfort in the memories they shared with him and strength in one another during the difficult period.

“My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family, his friends, and all who knew him,” Karua said.

She concluded her message by wishing the deceased eternal peace.

“May his soul rest in eternal peace,” she added.
